What's Involved in Phase 5 of the South Ring Project?

The latest video from Rijkswaterstaat shows what is involved in phase 5 of the South Ring project. The work is intended to begin in 2024. The video shows the new layout for the ring road, including the new flyover at the Lankforst interchange.

New Interchanges, Improved Traffic Flow

In addition to the flyover, the video shows the new interchanges at Maastricht-Airport and Meerssen. These interchanges will improve traffic flow and reduce congestion on the ring road.

The video also shows the widening of the ring road to six lanes between Maastricht-Airport and Meerssen. This will also help to improve traffic flow.

The work on phase 5 of the South Ring project is expected to be completed in 2028.
