A fire broke out at a Con Edison substation in Hopewell Junction, New York, on Tuesday, knocking out power and gas service to thousands of customers.
The fire started at around 11:30 a.m. and quickly spread to the substation, which is located on Clove Road.
The fire caused extensive damage to the substation, and it is not yet clear when power and gas service will be restored.
Firefighters Respond To The Scene
