BOSTON - In a dramatic turn of events in the wee hours of Wednesday night, the Boston Celtics have acquired All-Star forward Kristaps Porzingis as part of a three-team deal involving the Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies.
The Details of the Deal
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Celtics will receive Porziņģis, the 25th overall pick in Thursday's NBA Draft, and a future first-round pick from the Golden State Warriors.
In exchange, the Celtics are sending Grant Williams and a 2025 second-round pick to the Wizards, who are also acquiring Deni Avdija from the Lakers.
